Each of the plaster boob ornaments has been cast from an Exhibitionist's own breast. The ornaments range in size, shape and creative vision. Gathered in a cluster, they are reminiscent of Diana of Ephesus and the multitude of breasts that hung from her chest symbolizing fertility. The Roman and Greek versions of Diana [or Artemis] portray her as an independent spirit, goddess of the moon and the hunt, and protector of women and children. In our modern interpretation of this myth, we wish to celebrate breasts as representations of our female-ness, our strength and our art. Additionally, we intend for these ornaments to serve symbols for increasing breast health awareness. And finally, as casts of our own breasts, separate from our bodies, the collaboration becomes an in-your-face mockery of a history of bad jokes and negative objectification of our tits.
